A nice clean full box, I believe pre WW2, not sealed. $85.00

A 2 piece box of .22 short ammunition with an unusual name recognition. Seems to be sealed on one end. The fourth picture shows the opened end and the next picture shows the end that I believe is not torn but shows roughing up from shelf wear. The fifth picture shows surface cracking in the paste board cover. The cover of the box will pivot on the end that appears to be still sealed. I've noticed on occasion that the covers of these two piece boxes will break one or both of the seals due to being stacked on top of each other.$125.00

Here is one of the scarcest boxes that I have had, (as well as one of the most expensive). As you can see, a box of .22 short Winchester Spotlight ammunition. This ammunition was developed in 1913 as what was called an "Impact illuminating bullet" Meant to flash when a hard target was struck. As you can see this box is open but remains full. Shown in the pictures, the label is missing a section on the underside of the box while the section under the box that remains (the part that has the date code) has a couple of small missing areas. The under side of the label that remains simply lifted up off the bottom of the box. The sixth picture shows a date code of 5-20, May of 1920.

$325.00

Full box of 22 Hornet for AF survival rifle

Full unopened pack of Lane's percussion cartridges, marked for Colt and Remington Revolvers. I believe from the early 1900s. $250.00

GEVELOT 6mm BB Caps: almost a full tin of 100, I believe about 95. $25.00

WINCHESTER .30 ARMY FULL PATCH:

Used for Krag and Winchester mod. 95 Rifles:

This is a difficult description to write. At first glance this box appears to have been opened, but on closer inspection I can see a small area of the label just above the H in the word PATCH that does not appear to have been split. The rest of the label definitely has been cut. The top of the box is split along the front edge. So I'm selling this as an opened box although I'm not going to pull the top off just to look inside.

$65.00

WINCHESTER .30 ARMY FULL PATCH:

Here's a partial box of the same as the above:

This box which is in lesser condition than the other box I have up for sale has been opened and some of the rounds have been removed. Also there are a couple of the rounds that I can definitely say have cracked necks. Priced accordingly at $30.00

I WOULD ALMOST BE WILLING TO BET THAT YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN A BOX OF THIS AMMO LET ALONE A COMPLETE SET OF THE THREE LOADINGS PICTURED. THIS .45 COLT AMMUNITION, 20 ROUNDS TO A BOX, WAS CUSTOM LOADED BY HORNADY USING NEW WINCHESTER BRASS, FOR U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY TEAMS. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THEY WERE USED TO SURVEY MOUNTAIN RANGES IN THE DAYS BEFORE GPS SYSTEMS. WHEN SURVEY TEAMS DID NOT HAVE THE BENEFIT OF LINE OF SIGHT. THEY WERE FIRED FROM A COLT REVOLVER THAT WAS FIXED TO AN ADJUSTABLE TRIPOD, THE POSITION TO BE LOCATED BY ANOTHER TEAM MEMBER WITH A TRANSIT. ONE BOX CONTAINS "FINDER" CARTRIDGES, WHICH LEAVES A TRAIL OF WHITE SMOKE FOR AN INITIAL LOCATION. ANOTHER BOX CONTAINS "DAYTIME" CARTRIDGES, WHICH LEAVE A RED TRAIL, FOR LOCATING THE POSITION AGAINST A BACKGROUND OF BLUE SKY OR WHITE CLOUDS. THE THIRD BOX CONTAINS "TRACER" WHICH EMITS A WHITE STREAK FOR MARKING AGAINST AN OVERCAST SKY OR DUSK OR DAWN. THESE ARE THREE FULL 20 ROUND BOX'S. THE TWO EXAMPLE ROUNDS WERE EXTRAS THAT WERE PULLED AND CUT AWAY FOR EXAMINATION AND ARE INCLUDED WITH THE SET

      All three boxes $650.00

FULL BOX 45-80

SPECIAL LOADED 2.4 INCH CASE FOR TRAPDOOR SPRINGFIELD MARKSMAN/SHARPSHOOTER RIFLES. USED BY ARMY MARKSMAN AT CREEDMORE. SOME BOOKS SAY 181 RIFLES PRODUCED AND ANOTHER SAYS 201 MADE. FULL BOX 45COLT/S&W SCHOFIELD REVOLVERS:

WHAT MAKES THIS BOX SO DESIRABLE IS THE DATE STAMP OF 1875. SURE, EVERYBODY SEEMS TO DESIRE THE 1876 DATE DUE TO THE YEAR OF THE CUSTER BATTLE. IN REALITY 1875 WAS THE 1ST YEAR OF PRODUCTION OF THE SHORTER ROUND TO FIT THE 1873 COLT AS WELL AS THE 1875 SCHOFIELD WHICH WAS ALSO IN IT'S FIRST YEAR OF PRODUCTION. SO ANY OF YOU COLLECTORS WHO ARE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO OWN A 1ST MODEL SCHOFIELD, HERE IS A BOX OF AMMO IN IT'S FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION TO GO ALONG WITH THE 1ST YEAR REVOLVER. AS AN AFTERTHOUGHT THIS AMMO HAD A FULL 18 MONTHS PRODUCTION RUN BEFORE THE CUSTER BATTLE. BOX HAS BEEN SHRINK WRAPPED FOR PROTECTION. $950.00

A FULL BOX OF GEVELOT .22 CALIBER TRACER AMMUNITION. ONE END FLAP IS MISSING AND THERE IS A STRIP OF WORN AREA SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS.

$95.00

A FULL BOX OF .32 LONG RIMFIRE FROM A LIMITED RUN FROM NAVY ARMS. IT SEEMS THAT AT LEAST ONE OUT OF EVERY 10 BOXES OF RIMFIRE AMMO I COME ACROSS, SOME ILL-INFORMED OR HOPE-FULL PERSON JUST HAS TO TRY AND SEE IF THEY WILL WORK IN THEIR CENTER FIRE WEAPON. THIS ONE IS ONE OF THOSE BOXES. YOU WILL SEE THAT 2 OF THE ROUNDS HAVE BEEN STRUCK DEAD CENTER. COULDN'T RUIN JUST ONE BUT HAD TO TRY TWO. SUCCEEDED IN LOWERING THE VALUE OF THE BOX. BOX IS NOT AS CRISP AS I WOULD LIKE BUT IT IS COMPLETE.

$80.00

ANOTHER FULL BOX OF NAVY ARMS .32 LONG RIMFIRE CARTRIDGES WITH THE EXCEPTION BEING THAT ALL ROUNDS ARE UN-STRUCK AND THE BOX IS IN NICER/CRISPER CONDITION. TAKE A LOOK.

I'VE ADDED ANOTHER COUPLE OF PHOTOS DUE TO ME NOT MENTIONING THE FACT THAT THEIR IS SOME WRITING ON THE SIDE OF THE BOX IN INK PROBABLY THE ORIGINAL SELLING PRICE.
