1 inch Drawn Brass Nordenfeldt:
Nice condition with 3 stab punches to retain solid lead round. Struck primer as the picture shows. $150.00
1inch Gatling w/anvil primer:
A little explanation is called for here:
This Gatling round is of the second earliest designs used in the Gatling. As you can see it is designed using the anvil priming system. It remains un-fired as the base has never been struck. I believe this round was rejected for lack of powder as you can hear what I believe is the anvil rattle from one end to the other as you tip the shell top to bottom. One of the main reasons this priming system wasn't successful was that the anvil would break off the inside upon firing and create problems for the gun crew. It does not appear this projectile has ever been removed. $300.00
Unusual Gatling round made up by Stokes-Kirk:
From what I have been able to research Stokes-Kirk, a Military surplus dealer not unlike Francis Bannerman married these items up for novelty/promotional items. As the pictures show the case is for a very early Anvil primed Gatling Canister round and is UNFIRED. The lead round is also an original Gatling slug which is unfired. Taken individually they are both right as rain. $275.00
